This Privacy Policy explains how Toolnest (“we”, “us”) handles information when you use our website and tools. We have designed Toolnest to be private by default.

Files and content you process

Every tool on Toolnest runs entirely in your web browser. Images, documents, text and other content you load into a tool are processed locally on your device. We do not upload, store, or transmit your files to any server.

Information stored in your browser

Some tools save your preferences and work locally using your browser’s storage, so they are available when you return:

• Your selected color theme (light or dark).
• Notes you write in the Quick Notes tool.
• Invoice details and template choices in the Invoice Generator.

This data stays in your browser (localStorage) on your device and is never sent to us. You can clear it at any time by clearing your browser data.

Third-party services

• Currency Converter fetches live exchange rates from a third-party rate provider. Only the currencies you choose are used to request rates; no personal information is sent.

Link Shortener

When you create a short link, the destination URL you enter is stored on our own servers so the short link can redirect to it. We keep a count of how many times each short link is opened. Short links are not secret — anyone who has the short link can open it — so please do not shorten URLs that contain private or sensitive information.

Advertising and cookies

We may display advertising served by Google, including through Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.

• Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to Toolnest and/or other sites on the Internet.

If we use privacy-friendly analytics to understand aggregate usage, it does not identify you personally. We do not sell personal information.

Children

Toolnest is a general-audience site and is not directed to children under 13.
